Get Together on Friday, June 26

There will NOT be a meeting at the Oakton High School on Friday June 26.

Instead, you are asked to meet at Burke Lake Park at 5:00 pm on Friday to help with the initial set up for Field Day. We will be setting up tents, tarps, hanging antennas, erecting antenna towers and all of the other tasks necessary to ensure a fun Field Day.

On or about 8:00 am on Saturday, June 27th, we’ll set up the radios and laptops and all of the remaining items, in time for the 2:00 pm commencement of operations. Field Day operations will continue through the night until 2:00 pm on Sunday, June 28th, to be followed by the breakdown of tents and equipment, the cleanup of the area and our final departure from the park.

If you’ve been to our Field Days before, you’ll know of our fun timesradios and food; food and radios and LOTS of camaraderie.

If you’ve never been to one of our Field Days, be prepared to be wowed! You’ll have a ton of radio fun, even if you’ve never keyed a mike before or tapped a key. All the club’s pros will be there to help you gently make your QSOs.

Be there!
